Tong Zhu received the B. Sc. in Materials Physics from Fudan University in 2011, the M. Eng. in Materials Physics & Chemistry from Fudan University in 2014, and the Ph. D. in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science from Duke University in 2019. He then worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Sargent group at the University of Toronto, focusing on perovskite systems. He joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at City University of Hong Kong (Dongguan) as an assistant professor in 2025.
His publications have been cited over 3,000 times, with an h-index of 20 (Google Scholar).
